Re: Recently joined Tribe. Am just saying hello.
Thu, April 9, 2009 - 10:53 AMI'm a newcomer, so I just wanted to say, "Hello!" and provide a bit of background. I am a mean, ugly old man, living in Jacksonville, FL. My previous spiritual path has included a somewhat esoteric approach to Christianity and free-lance Bible study, membership in O.T.O. (currently on inactive status), a life-long fascination with mythology, comparatve religion, chaos magick, shamanism, and inner alchemy.
I'm a bit skeptical about practical alchemy, but not rigid on the subject. I have recently been told that I should pursue alchemical studies much more seriously and am here seeking aid in that endeavor. The triggering event was that I recently taught a class at the local OTO body on "Magickal Formulae". As I was explaining the meaning of the V.I.T.R.I.O.L. to the class, it came to me suddenly that all magickal formulae are essentially alchemical and that all such formulae described the same process, in two stages with Solve et coagula, in three steps with I.A.O., seven steps with VITRIOL and twelve steps with the zodiacal attributions. There's really no difference except in the level of abstraction and the degree of focus on the details of the operation.
I will try not to be a bother, but I seek to find answers to some of my questions and to discuss what I have learned and what I have yet to learn.
Thank you all.
With love under will,
Bob, Adastra,

Re: Recently joined Tribe. Am just saying hello.
Thu, April 9, 2009 - 11:49 AMyay. alchemy with the flavor i like.
i also like ancient chinese works on alchemy of revitiiization.
I began my study with Cinnabar, and its brought me to gold ormes. i almost killed myself (in my youth) with too high a dose of 'restore the six breaths' pills. (actinolite, sulfur, realgar, malachite, magnetite and lapis).
i haven't read any of kunlins materials, but it is a definite must check out.
i'm also intrested in differential frequency transmitted electricity applications. Remember one of the old temple admonitions that a Magister Templi, would have a lamp on the altar, that provided light and burned without wick or oil?

scroll down till ya see the lightbulb. no contacts, no wick. a carbon button! -

Re: Recently joined Tribe. Am just saying hello.
Thu, April 9, 2009 - 12:02 PMi was familiarized with alchemy by way of the Typhonian OTO, so one could say that was a very 'internal alchemy' approach.
but i really am a curious brat, so i have studied minerals and mettalics, and rare tibetian and chinese tonic medicines for about 25 years.
spyragics are a real good place to start. essential oil distillation is a good follow up place to study, then calcinification ovens and purifying/rendering by fire. then high voltage electrical pulses, arc vapor, and laser, and ultrasonic currents.
thats alot of physical input, but i figure the OTO has equipped you with all the internal forms already, or that they are readily available to you.
Ευτυχείς καθαρισμός και διόρθωση!
